In 1968, RCA made the first practical LCD by dynamic scattering method (DSM). 971 The first LCD using twisted nematic (TN) was produced. Application The first batch of commercial liquid crystal displays came out in 1970s. This technology was first applied to quartz watches and early calculator displays. In 1990s, digital cameras and computer monitors used color liquid crystal displays in the early days. The progress of technology in the 2000s made the larger LCD suitable for home theater. Produced a full HD 1080p display. At present, the largest LCD panel is 108 inches.
